To use ‘MediaLink’ service of LG Smart TV, it is required to install PMS on PC connected on a same network
with LG Smart TV .

Select the OS type of your PC and Install PMS according the guideline as below.

Window

* Please be noted that currently released Plex Media Server
for Windows OS is Beta version.

MAC

* We recommend to install version 0.9.1.14 or
later of Plex Media Server on your Mac.

※ If running Internet Explorer, we recommend Google Chrome Frame for optimal performance and compatibility
with Plex Media Manager.

Step 1 : Installing Support Files

Various support files need to be installed : follow the installation prompts.

Step 2 : Plex Media Server Installation

Once the support files are installed, the Plex Media Server will install : follow the prompts.

Step 3 : Launch Plex Media Server For The First Time

When the installation is complete, click the Start menu and choose Plex Media Server. If you have Windows Firewall or other Internet Security software installed, you may receive several prompts for access to the Internet. Allow access for each of the prompts. Once done, the installation process is completed and you can begin configuration.

Step 4 : Configure The Plex Media Server

The Plex Media Server is configured with the Media Manager. To launch the Media Manager

  • Find the Plex icon in the System Tray.
  • Right-Click the icon and choose Configure Plex Media Server.
  • The Media Manager will launch in your default Internet Browser.

Before you start defining sections, it’s important to make sure your media has been named and organized correctly. The next section will help you understand how to organize your files. Once this has been completed, you can return to the Media Manager and continue configuration.
